Conventions in a Horror Trailer.

Here are some key conventions I’ll take into consideration when creating my teaser trailer:

- keys moments in the film

- ellipsis/ ellipses

- where it’s set

- music

- narration – voice over

- title of the film + release date

- names of the stars, directors, producers etc

- age restrictions

- production company

- onscreen text

- fades to black

- flashes

- enigma code (a hook)

- non-chronological events
